A lot of my SharePoint friends were asking me recently why I have all these years never been at SharePont Evo in London. The reason is very simple: Evo collides each year with two, for me, very important professional events: Microsoft NetWork in Bosnia and Herzegovina (home play), and Microsoft WinDays in Croatia (almost home play). Those are two large – and I mean large! – Microsoft events in South East Europe. There is nothing nearly of that size for example in Germany.
Even if both NetWork and WinDays are technology events that cover broad spectrum of Microsoft technologies, the collaboration part (which was changing names over the years – Information Worker Solutions, SharePoint, Collaboration, now we like to call it “Productivity”) was always playing a major role: at NetWork, a number of SharePoint and Office 365 related sessions are spread across business, development and IT pro tracks, and at WinDays, there is even a dedicated track for Office 365 and SharePoint.
Microsoft WinDays will take place in costal town of Umag, Croatia on April 21-24. I will deliver two sessions: the first one will be level 200 session about architecting modern cloud solutions with Office 365 and Azure. Second one will be a round table about the future of productivity with SharePoint / Office 365 gurus Toni Frankola (MVP SharePoint, Croatia), Zvonimir Mavretic (Croatia) and Igor Pavlekovic (MVP Office 365, Croatia).
Microsoft NetWork will happen just one week later, again at the Adriatic coast, in small coastal town of Neum, on April 27-29. At Microsoft NetWork, I will deliver a keynote, together with my dear friends Enis Sahinovic (Microsoft, Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Damir Dizdarevic (MVP Windows Server for Small and Medium Business, Bosnia and Herzegovina), and Paula Januszkiewicz (MVP Enterprise Security, Poland). Beside the keynote, I will deliver a Level 400 session about practical development of Azure AD apps with Office 365 APIs.
As you will notice, there is a lot about scenery of both conferences. Adriatic coast, great food and even better wines. For all of you who will come, see you in Umag and Neum, for the rest of you, we will post the photos.
