Dennis Ritchie<\/a>, creator of the \u201cC\u201d programming language, has passed away. As a friend of mine said, he was one of my youth idols. And I still have his \u201cThe C Programming Language<\/a>\u201d book somewhere\u2026<\/p>\n

\"Dennis_Ritchie-pic\"This is how you can change the world: create something from the third try \u2013 experiments named \u201cA\u201d, and \u201cB\u201d were not successful enough \u2013 and then simply call it \u201cC\u201d, without ever thinking about real revolution that could cause\u2026 I was one of the youth who jumped immediately to \u201cC\u201d, in the late eighties, directly from playing with BASIC and Assembler on my Sinclair Spectrum as a kid. I skipped the Pascal and similar \u201clearning languages\u201d, and I am thankful to destiny for that. I was, and I still am deeply influenced by Dennis Ritchie\u2019s work, since I am still developing on a C programming language derivate. <\/p>\n

Rest in Piece, Mr. Ritchie. You were the REAL pioneer in the IT industry. Without your work, a lot of things which we take for granted today would never happen.<\/p>\n
